Sref Testing Procedure in Midjourney
- Turn off your Personalisation Code/Global Profile.
- Test it with an empty prompt by using "" and the sref code. See what happens.
- Decide on the purpose for testing: composition, color, texture, ...
- Start off with one fixed baseline prompt for a subject without the --sref code:
- object: a ceramic vase placed on a wooden table, natural daylight, centered composition, studio lighting --ar 3:4 --style raw --v 7
- Add the --sref code to the fixed baseline prompt.
- a portrait of a young woman looking at the camera, centered composition, neutral expression --sref 1234567890 --ar 3:4 --style raw --v 7
- Stick to one variable and change the numbers (keep the baseline prompt):
- style weight parameter: --sw 250, --sw 500, --sw 750, --sw 1000
- a portrait of a young woman looking at the camera, centered composition, neutral expression --sref 1234567890 --sw 250 --ar 3:4 --style raw --v 7
- Right-click on image and use the describe feature in Midjourney or use Reve's Edit Prompt feature or open ChatGPT and let it describe with these categories in short keywords:
- subject
- framing/composition
- style
- texture
- color
- lighting
- shadow
- mood
- setting
- technical parameters
- Alter the subject:
- human: a portrait of a young woman looking at the camera, centered composition, neutral expression --ar 3:4 --style raw --v 7
- landscape: a wide valley surrounded by mountains, cloudy sky, distant trees, calm atmosphere, no people --ar 16:9 --style raw --v 7
- illustration: an illustration of a girl reading a book under a tree, side view, calm atmosphere, minimal background, balanced composition, natural lighting, no stylization --ar 3:4 --style raw --v 7
- animal: a standing fox in a natural forest clearing, looking toward the camera, full body, neutral pose, natural daylight, no dramatic effects --ar 3:4 --style raw --v 7
